XYZ Automatic Leveling Configuration

The firmware version must be> = V1.3.7

This guide will explain some parameters for setting up automatic leveling configuration for your CBD Chitu board.

Leveling, 0: Disable leveling 1: Enable leveling
M8083 I1;
(At this line, input either 0 or 1 according to leveling type. For example, )
M8083 I1;ß this means that the automatic leveling is enabled
M8083 I0; ß this means that the automatic leveling is disabled

If you have a delta structured setup, you can enable this setup directly in thedisplay-interface.
If you have a XYZ structured setup you need to enable this setup in the configuration file. You also need to remove the limit for the Z axis as leveling switch is connect to it. To do that go to line M8084 Z in the config file and follow the instruction.

M8035 I3; leveling the number of points in the XYZ. Automatic leveling arrangement is fixed to 3 points. You can change up to as many points you want. If you have 3 points you also needs 3 code lines. Equally if you have 4 points you need 4 code lines. Below shows 3 code line.
M8036 X10 Y10; The first leveling point indicates where the point will start and is measured from extrusion nozzle to set the XY offset.
M8036 X20 Y20; The second point represents the minimum position
M8036 X190 Y190; the third point represents the maximum position

Example:

The red line is the area range for leveling. In this case it will set three points.

Others

; On Delta structures or XYZ structures the Z-leveling height difference limit = Z-leveling limit position -Z zero position, in most cases, you only need to set it to 0 to adjust

; 0: offset travel, Z axis will travel from zero. You can print gcode without adding automatic leveling instructions,
However this mode is recommended
; Non-0: Z current position is automatically determined when the leveling limit is triggered, under DELTA structure, G29 automatic leveling instruction must be used
To be connected to, before printing instruction after G28 zero. If the photoelectric leveling limit is usually positive, if the limit
When the extrusion head affixed to the motherboard, compared to negative
; Xyz self-leveling, and also to use this argument
M8084 Z4

Precautions

  • Try to put the sensor position as close you can to the extrusion head/nozzle head, the closer the better
  • The Automatic Leveling range should be over to range of print of the platform for best performance.
